Watch the SHOUTcast Widgets v5 Smart Mix Setup on You Tube
First, ensure your SHOUTcast Widgets server is set up with your Centova v3.xÂ

- In your Centova v3.x panel, click on Playlists
- Click on Create Playlist
- Title the playlist SMARTMIX - this is very important, SMARTMIX will not funtion if the not exact!
- Under Type, choose General Rotation
- Under Playback order choose Sequential (In Order)
- Save
Next, in your SHOUTcast Widgets panel, click on Server Settings. On your main active server at the top, click on SMART MIX and ensure Automation is on. Now goto the dashboard and look for the SMARTMIX button to enable/disable to begin.Â
SMARTMIX is meant to be the only General Rotation playlist you have running. SMARTMIX will re-generate a fresh mix based on listener likes/dislikes and past tracks every 30 minutes. If there is a problem, Centova is designed to keep playing tracks to avoid no media being played.Â
Once active, you can click on the RE-MIX button to view a detailed report on how SMARTMIX came up with the media for the playlist.Â
If you would like to run ads, you can do so as normal through your Centova panel. As long as you set the playlist as Interval it will not interfere with SMARTMIX.
