Analytics Print

See how many people are watching, when they watch, where they are, and how they found you, for one channel or across all your channels.

Where to find analytics

  • One channel: the channel's Analytics tab.
  • All channels: Analytics in the left sidebar. It has a table comparing each channel's current, peak, and unique viewers.
  • At a glance: the ???? number next to each channel in the sidebar shows how many people are watching right now.

Choose a period with the range buttons: Last 24h, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, or Last year.

What is and isn't counted

Counted Not counted
Viewers on the channel's public page
Viewers of the iframe embed, on your site or anyone else's
Direct .m3u8 playback in VLC, IPTV apps, or a custom <video> player
Audiences on simulcast platforms. Use YouTube, Facebook, or Twitch analytics for those.

The numbers are accurate for viewers using your own players, but they undercount your total audience if many people watch the stream URL directly.

A chart below these numbers shows viewers over the period.

Breakdowns

  • ???? Peak viewing hours: when your audience tunes in. Use it to place your strongest programming and your live shows.
  • ???? Countries and ???? Cities: where viewers are.
  • ???? New vs. returning: first-time viewers compared with returning viewers.
  • ???? Traffic sources: which websites sent viewers to you.
  • ???? Browsers, ???? Operating systems, and ???? Device types: what people watch on.

Location and privacy

Viewer locations are worked out from IP addresses, down to city level, using a database stored on your own server. Nothing is sent to an outside service. Some viewers can't be located, which is normal for some VPNs and mobile networks. A note under the city list shows how many viewers could be located.
