Public Page / Video on Demand Widgets Print

  • 0

Give viewers somewhere to watch: a ready-made channel page, an on-demand library, embeddable players, and programming guides for your website. Everything in this article is on the channel's Widgets tab.

The public channel page

Each channel has its own page at https://your-panel-address/watch/<channel>. It shows your logo, the live player, an optional description, social links, and links to your other channels. Click Copy link to share it, or Open ? to preview it.

  • Public page enabled: untick to take the page offline. The schedule widgets also stop working while it's off.
  • Show in the all-stations Programming Guide: untick to leave this channel out of the network-wide guide while keeping its own page working. This is useful for unlisted channels.

Video on demand

Tick Video on demand enabled to add a "watch anytime" list of videos from the channel's Media Library to its public page. There's nothing extra to upload. The same list is used by the Roku app's on-demand options.

To choose which videos are listed, use the On Demand column in the Media Library (???? Visible or ???? Hidden). Uploads are visible by default. Live recordings are hidden by default unless automatic VOD is turned on under Settings ? Live Recording.

Logo, colors, description, and social links

  • Channel logo: drag in a PNG, JPG, SVG, or WebP image of up to 3 MB. Click Remove logo to clear it.
  • Primary color and Background color: the page's colors. The primary color is also the default accent color in the schedule widgets.
  • Description: up to 500 characters, shown under the player.
  • Social links: click + Add link, choose a platform, and paste the URL.

Click Save to apply your changes. The logo uploads as soon as you add it.

Stream URL and player embeds

Option Use it for
Direct stream URL (ends in .m3u8) VLC, IPTV apps and M3U playlists, smart-TV players, or as a media source in OBS.
Iframe embed Adding a ready-made player to any website or CMS that accepts HTML. The default size is 640×360. Change width and height to fit your page.
HTML5 <video> snippet Sites where you'd rather host the player yourself.

Programming guide widgets

These widgets show visitors what's on now and what's coming up, based on your schedule. Each program shows its block's label, or the playlist name if the block has no label. The widgets update themselves every minute.

Widget What it shows
Schedule, this channel only A timetable that scrolls sideways, covering today and the next 6 days.
Compact, this channel only A small "now / next" card for a sidebar or header.
Schedule, all stations The same timetable with one row per channel.
Compact, all stations One line per channel: its name, what's on now, and what's next.

The all-stations widgets list every channel that has both Public page enabled and Show in the all-stations Programming Guide ticked. Click Preview ? to see a widget before you embed it.

Customizing widgets

Add these options to the end of the src URL in the embed code. Put ? before the first option if the URL doesn't already contain one, and & between options:

Option Effect
theme=dark / theme=light Forces dark or light mode. By default, the widget follows the visitor's device setting.
accent=RRGGBB Accent color. Defaults to the channel's primary color.
bg=RRGGBB Background color.
compact=1 The compact now/next layout. The compact snippets already include it.

Example: …/schedule.html?theme=light&accent=ff6b00
