Going live Print

Going live sends your whole mix (decks, effects, carts) plus your microphone to AzuraCast, which takes over from AutoDJ within a few seconds.

  1. Load a track on at least one deck and set your levels. Put on headphones.
  2. In the Live Broadcast bar, enter your AzuraCast DJ username and DJ password.
  3. Check the Web DJ address. It fills in automatically for your station; press ? if it looks wrong.
  4. Choose a bitrate. 128k suits most stations; use 192k or 256k for higher quality if your connection is fast.
  5. Press GO LIVE. Allow microphone access if your browser asks.
  6. When the ON AIR lamp lights red and the timer starts counting, you're on air. Start the deck.
  7. To talk, click the mic button or hold Space (push-to-talk). With DUCK ticked, the music dips automatically while the mic is open.

To finish, press END BROADCAST. AutoDJ picks up again within a few seconds. Closing the page also ends the broadcast; the browser asks you to confirm first.

While you're live:

  • Only one DJ can be live at a time. If someone else is connected, the studio warns you before you try.
  • Turn MONITOR on to hear your mix. Don't play the station's public stream on your speakers at the same time, or listeners hear an echo.
  • Song titles are sent to AzuraCast automatically when a deck starts playing, so your players and widgets show what's on.
