Custom Domains Print

On plans with custom domains you can serve your streams, players and panel from your own domain, for example https://stream.yourradio.com/listen/yourmount, with a free SSL certificate that renews itself.

1. Point your domain to CastBridge

Open Domains in the panel menu. Step 1 shows the exact values to use. At your DNS provider (Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Namecheap and so on), create one of these records:

Type Name / Host Value When to use
A stream (or @ for the root domain) The server IP shown in the panel Works for any name, including the root domain
CNAME stream The panel host name shown in the panel Subdomains only. Keeps working if our server's IP changes
  • Cloudflare: set the record to DNS only (grey cloud). The orange proxy blocks the certificate check and breaks long audio connections.
  • Remove any AAAA (IPv6) record for that name.

DNS changes usually take a few minutes, and occasionally a few hours.

2. Add the domain

Under 2 · Add the domain, type the domain (for example stream.yourradio.com) and click Add domain. The page shows how many domain slots your plan has left.

3. Check DNS and install SSL

Click Check DNS & install SSL. This takes up to a minute. When it's done:

  • DNS shows points here.
  • SSL shows active with its expiry date. It renews automatically.

If DNS isn't verified yet, wait a little and try again, or use Check DNS only. Any error is shown in red under the domain name.

What works on your domain

  • Listen links: https://stream.yourradio.com/listen/yourmount
  • The player page, playlists, the Luna Player and widgets. Pick your domain from the domain list on the Quick links, Player and Widgets pages.
  • Your own Icecast and Shoutcast servers are announced on your domain.
  • Your public status page becomes the home page of your domain.
  • A branded panel login at https://stream.yourradio.com/login.

To stop using a domain, click Remove. Any links that use it stop working.
