Over the past 20+ years, we have seen many providers enter and exit the market. While we cannot guarantee that every control panel platform will remain in business, we can confidently assure you that we will. Our longevity and track record speak for themselves.
We began in 2003 as SWS (SitecreatorZ Web Services) and rebranded to My Auto DJ in 2008 as we expanded into the online radio space. In our early years, we offered cPanel and Cast Control. Cast Control (now Media CP) was later replaced by Centova Cast in 2009 and only recently reintroduced in a new form through its IPTV and radio platform.
In our view, this evolution has not only helped sustain MediaCP but has also positioned it for continued growth. As IPTV and on-demand media continue to reshape the entertainment landscape, consumers are increasingly moving away from traditional cable and satellite services in favor of more flexible, cost-effective streaming solutions.
We've recently converted the last Centova Server - Centova Cast has been officially discontinued.
What's AI have to say about Centova Cast?
Centova Cast is considered by some users to be in a state of decline or "dead" due to a lack of updates and broken features, such as native players, SSL, and statistics. Users have reported that the system hasn't seen significant improvements in years and that the layout is not responsive to modern standards.
Key issues reported with Centova Cast include:
- Lack of Updates: No significant news or improvements in years.
- Broken Features: Native players, SSL, statistics, and proxy mode are reportedly not working correctly.
- Editing mountpoints will easily break the streams. Serious problems when trying to create new mountpoints and/or edit current
- Outdated Interface: The layout is not responsive or user-friendly.
- Songs often repeat with no options to prevent when playlists are set to play at random.
- Track Request Widget requires the users to not only guess what tracks are available in the auto dj media library, but also spell the song and artist filename exactly.
These reports, from as early as 2020 and continue today, suggest a stagnation in development and a decline in the platform's relevance.
