DNAS Update Summer 2022 SHOUTcast 2.6.1 is out and running on all of our servers as of June 1 2022. 2.6.1 reverts the recent limits placed on free versions of the software back to 320Kbs in either mp3 or aac+ formats, In addition, SSL is now allowed on all streams reguardless if using the free or premium versions.

SHOUTcast was first developled by NULLSOFT for America Online (AOL) in 1998 and had been free and open source software until sold to Radionomy on January 14, 2014.
Later in 2019, Radionomy was purchased by Audiovalley, who also owns Targetspot which offers a popular monetization option that allows any stream using SHOUTcast v2.6 and up to play audio ads on their station. Ads can be triggered anytime the station owner chooses, Learn how to trigger audio ads
Before you can enable audio ads, you must first link your stream to the new SHOUTcast interface. You'll need to set your station up, upload the logo, enter title, choose genre and agree to their terms. Learn how to link get your SHOUTcast station listed in the SHOUTcast Directory.
